Elisa R. Zitano

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

In 2008, Ms. Zitano formally joined Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff in an “Of Counsel” capacity. For six years previously, she was a sole practitioner providing lien consultation and resolution in civil litigation, personal injury, and mass tort cases. Additionally, she provided consultation services in the Phen-fen diet drug class action litigation and other pharmaceutical litigation, and conducted research, discovery, and lien resolution in complex asbestos litigation.

For 20 years before joining the plaintiffs’ bar, she specialized in the defense of workers’ compensation cases, as a partner in the Sacramento law firm of Twohy, Darneille & Frye.

Ms. Zitano is a frequent lecturer regarding Medicare lien issues and procedures. She has appeared at the statewide convention of Consumer Attorneys of California, as well as before local trial lawyer associations including Capital City Trial Lawyers, San Francisco Trial Lawyers, and San Jose Trial Lawyers.
