Drunk Drivers

  • It is estimated that 11,773 people died in alcohol related traffic accidents in 2008
  • 3 in every 10 Americans will be involved in an alcohol related crash in their lives

Unfortunately, many drunk drivers are repeat offenders. The person who drives drunk has likely done so before and is usually aware that they are intoxicated when he or she starts the car. Someone who drives after excessive alcohol consumption is recklessly endangering the lives of countless others on the road ahead.

If you or someone you love has been injured due to another person's negligent or reckless behavior, you should contact an experienced and aggressive attorney to ensure that person is held accountable.

Know Your Rights!

In California, you have the right to sue the drunk driver that injured you and to seek punitive damages. If you have been injured in a car accident, it is important to contact an attorney immediately to protect your rights.

Our attorneys have extensive experience representing individuals injured in car accidents, in both jury trials and settlement negotiations. Our expertise includes handling cases ranging from simple collisions to automotive product liability to improper road design.

Know your Responsibilities!

In California, the legal definition of "DUI" (Driving Under the Influence) is a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of 0.08%. If you are convicted of driving with a BAC level higher than 0.08% for the first time, you will spend from 96 hours to 6 months in jail, incur a fine of up to $1000, and have your driver's license suspended for 6 months. You will also be required to complete a Driving Under the Influence Program, and may be ordered to install an Ignition Interlock Device (a device similar to a breathalyzer that will not allow your car to start without first passing an alcohol breath test).
