Giving Back

"We're all in this together!"

If there's one thing everyone at our firm agrees with, it is the concept of social responsibility. Whether it's through our churches or synagogues, non-profits or community activism, we all enjoy actively engaging with groups designed to enrich our communities.

"Everybody who's successful has a story of people along the way who have helped them," says Eric Ratinoff. "And we all have an obligation to give back."

Each of the firm's partners plays a major role in his community organization of choice. Bill Kershaw is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees for St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School. Brooks Cutter is a board member of the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association, Vice Chair for the Cal Parents Board at UC Berkeley and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Sacramento Country Day School. Eric Ratinoff is the President and member of the Board of Directors for Sierra Forever Families.

The spirit of community trickles down from our partners to all of our attorneys and staff. From group walks that benefit victims of brain injury to individual activism based on personal ties to community groups, every person at Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff enjoys doing our part and giving back.
