KCR Develops new website to inform clients and public about the consequences of high cobalt & chromium blood levels

March 25, 2011

Today, Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff launched a new website designed to provide up-to-date scientific information about cobalt and chromium toxicity to victims of the recent DePuy hip implant recall.

Due to the high volume of clients and callers from the general public inquiring about the dangers of cobaltism, metallosis, and chromium toxicity, medical device lawyer and KCR partner, Stuart Talley, interviewed a renowned metal toxicology expert and created a 12-part video series, which is posted on the new website, as well as the KCRLegal YouTube channel.

"The worst part for our clients who still have these hips is the fear of the unknown," said Talley. "They want to know what elevated levels of cobalt and chromium will do to them. This is why we put this website together.”

The website also features a forum where hip replacement patients can discuss their experiences with the DePuy ASR hip device and other metal-on-metal hip implants, as well as any symptoms they may be experiencing due to elevated levels of cobalt and/or chromium.
